Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) values and is committed to respecting the rights of individual's personal information.
VICSES has policies and procedures in place for the appropriate management of personal information in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) , these include the use of Collection Notices.
Collection Notices outline to those individuals whose personal information is being collected the purpose for which the information is collected, who the information is disclosed to and used by, how the organisation can be contacted, how the individual can access their information, any laws requiring the collection and what the consequences are to the individual if the information isn't collected. In most cases, Collection Notices are found at the point of collection so that the individual concerned can make a sufficiently informed decision about whether or not to provide their personal information.
In some unique cases, however, providing a Collection Notice at the point of collection is not always practicable. In these cases, VICSES has committed to providing the Collection Notice on this website via the link below:
